Would you like a cup of Hummingbird Tea?
A Peacock Orchid soon after the rain.
My favorite dahlia color with its coral and yellow hues.
These are large flowers but only about the size of a dessert plate, not a dinnerplate...thank goodness.
Yes, this is really called a hummingbug because of the way it flys, hovering just like a hummingbird and sipping the nectar of the same flowers.

I love to grow all matter of flowers and vegetables and observe nature close up. Photographing my flowers and the creatures that visit my backyard brings me a great deal of pleasure, especially during the winter months when the color from last years garden still blooms in a virtual world.
