Garden's First Winter
comments (0) January 10th, 2009 in gallery
With seven inches of snow on the ground and more falling, I snapped these pictures of our garden, long dormant. This winter has been as rough as last year, with well over 30 inches of snow through early January - twice the normal amount of snowfall. The garden also survived complete submersion during record flooding in September.
The garden is located in Carol Stream, Illinois (USDA zone 5).
