Koi pond adorned with boulders , river rocks and paved walkway, evergreens( arboravitae, cypress, rhododendrums, etc.), potted plants (vibrurnium, anigozanthus, pygmy palm, etc.), various succulents, g reen mound ground cover, creeping fig on fence, vines on trellises, ( pink and yellow jasmine, trumpet vine, hydranga, etc.), provide various shades of green back ground color during winter (and all year).  Some evergreens change their colors from shades of bronzes to reds! Various rose species bloom in garden and in pots until winter frost or winter pruning, (which ever comes first).  Two weeping pussy willow trees exchange their leaves for white furry bloom pods while crepe myrtle trees drop their leaves, exposing their beautiful sculptured branch designs and colorful bark. No snow, in Sacramento, but lots of winter color in my California European Garden!
