We salvaged this by moving it into the sunshine.  This is a single bloom but it puts out doubles frequently in the spring and fall here in central FL.  It has grown to the size of a VW Beetle now and when its in full bloom the traffic slows in front of our house.  I've even caught tourists grabbing quick photos of it and even one brave family man that coaxed his entire brood and missus into posing in front of it.  Took them less than a minute.  Those double side doors on minivans are helpful, I guess.
