Photo: Courtesy of Karin Grecu

Today's photos are from Karin Grecu near Sacramento, California. She says, "Sheldon's photos on Tuesday inspired me to take some photos of a place not usually known for its fall foliage: California. These photos of my front and back yards were taken in the Greater Sacramento area in zone 9. The nice thing about fall here is that the same flowers that have been blooming all summer (or bloomed in spring and now again in fall) with a green background now get a new look in contrast to the vibrant fall foliage." Beautiful, Karin! Thanks for sending these in.

We're on a roll, guys! Send in your photos so that I can keep featuring your gardens every day.

kershawgirl writes: The minute I saw this first photo I knew it was Sacramento! I used to live there on Riverside Drive, in the "pocket" area. The City and residents always did such a good job of keeping up their yards and corners of the blocks. Each corner always had something special, year 'round. That's where I first realized that Californians can actually have a rosemary hedge!!! Awsome! Posted: 11:27 am on November 17th

meander1 writes: Karen is right...some of us don't think of CA as having traditional fall color. I confess to being guilty of such an incorrect assumption. Karen's pictures show off all the beautiful warm autumn hues that anyone could wish for. Her yard has some particularly trees. Posted: 7:50 am on November 17th
