Photo: Courtesy of Eamonn Hughes

Today's photos, like yesterday's, are from Eamonn Hughes in Wilsonville, Oregon. The first is a shot of the baby koi in his pond, getting one last feeding before settling in for the winter, while the second shows a heron swooping in for...lunch! Watch out, li'l fishies!

soilgoil writes: Eamonn, do you have a net over your pond to protect the koi? They're too beautiful and EXPENSIVE to be a heron buffet. I'm so impressed with your exquisite garden and photographic talent! I live in the Pacific Northwest and occasionally visit your area. Do you ever open your garden to visitors?
