This Chinese moon bridge and its reflection create a gorgeous blue oval on a calm day. I've always wondered if it's hard to walk on one of these steeply-arched bridges...then I found a photo that showed me what I should have guessed all along...stairs!

**All this week and next, we're featuring photos of the gardens at Les Quatre Vents, the home of Frank and Anne Cabot in Quebec. If you'd like read more about this garden, check out this interview with Frank Cabot that ran in the April 2005 issue of Fine Gardening. Frank also whote a book about the garden. You can get it on Amazon here.**

arboretum writes: what an exquisite concept. i am guessing that it is called a moon bridge the same way that a round window in a chinese garden wall or fence- is called a moon window.breathtaking.
