This vine appeared in my rose bed. The seeds must have come from my compost but I cant tell what it is. It looks like a melon but what kind? There is a fuzzy texture to it. Click the image to enlarge.

This vine appeared in my rose bed. The seeds must have come from my compost but I can't tell what it is. It looks like a melon but what kind? There is a fuzzy texture to it.


Can anyone identify what kind of melon this is. I did not plant it but it seems to be thriving so I let it be.

Shelby24019 writes: Jtitus, one to find out is to let the fruit ripen and it will be easy to indentify. You won't have more unless the seeds from this one escapes. If you have several of them I would pull all of them up except this one that has the fruit. Once you id it and decide if you want more save the seeds from this one to plant next year.
