Mystery creeper showing stems and creeping habit

This creeper is all over my NE Zone 5 garden. I pull it or squirt with a little Roundup, so it hasn't overrun anything yet, but it is annoying (especially when I can't identify it). It grows low to the ground, tiny leaves are 1/4 - 3/8" across, can form a very dense carpet, likes moist shade, but tolerates sun, seems to creep under sweet peet mulch. It's not clover, wood sorrel or ground  ivy, and I've never seen it flower. It has so far stumped my local Master Gardeners.
