Noxious weed

This is a noxious weed that grows by spreading roots underground.  Very hardy.  Can anyone identify and/or tell me how to treat.

LindaBrandon writes: This looks like "mugwort" -- artemisia vulgaris -- and it's tricky to control, but repeated applications of an herbicide containing glyphosate (Roundup is the most common brand name) should take care of it. Heavy mulch will also choke it out substantially. Posted: 7:25 am on August 22nd
