Mystery plant

This plant is taking over my vegetable garden. Help - what is it??? The flowers are yellow with pointy edges. Right now, the plants are about 3.5 ft tall and still growing. The leaves are not fuzzy. They do not have any fruit of any kind, just flowers.

Cubkin writes: The flower doesn't look quite right to me, but the rest of the plant - size, leaves and colors - look to me like Japanese kerria (Kerria Japonica). If so, the plants sucker freely and spread like crazy, but they can be controlled with trimming. Posted: 11:42 am on August 23rd
