This flower comes back every year and blooms in June (in my state of VA).  Can you id it for me?

Dutchess_of_Dahlias writes: It could also be Campanula 'Pink Bells'. Cherry Bells has a deeper pink pendulous flower. Posted: 10:10 am on August 3rd
RAMBLENROSE writes: Love this plant! I have it planted on the north side of the house. I live just outside of Chicago. I look forward to it's bloom every yr. Posted: 4:56 am on July 27th
graydots writes: I meant to add that it must like an alkaline soil because I have limestone and volcanic rock under my deck and many acid loving plants don't flourish in that soil Posted: 8:44 am on July 4th
graydots writes: Campanula punctata - Cherry Bells, Very invasive in a damp area, I've been fighting it for years - the first year growth is dense and low to the ground like the dwarf Chinese Astilbes. Then it shoots up flower stalks in the 2nd year. And it will grow in almost no light at all like under the deck so its hard to reach. Posted: 8:43 am on July 4th
databer writes: It's 'Cherry Bells', Campanula punctata. My son has it in his yard in Vermont. Posted: 7:44 am on July 2nd
Dolligarden writes: Hmm is it a Campanula (Bellflower)? May be 'Cherry Bells'.
