This garden use to be a collection of very overgrown juniper shrubs. When I was working on the Fraser river as a boomman in British Columbia, Canada I found some great pieces of driftwood to add as natural landscape ties; when working in landscape construction I also fell in love with some large homeless rocks.
The garden is planted with a modest collection of single perennial specimens and single shrub specimens. There are grass specimens and an ever growing collection of superviums and succulents amongst the rocks. There are many "micro zones" which dictate which plants grow where; every plant has it's place. It's slopes and modest size make it a joy to work on all year round.
