Deciduous Rhododendron/azalea - Any suggestions as to the cultivar?
comments (0) May 27th, 2011 in gallery
We inherited this lovely deciduous rhododendron which is blooming for the first time since we moved here a year ago. The new leaves have a russet tinge to them and the plant structure is somewhat irregular. The swollen flower buds look almost like tiny, ruddy artichokes, but as they haven't fully opened I do not yet know what color the flowers themselves will be.
