Robin Hartwell's exquisite Crocus in the Snow is the winner of this year's Spring Awakenings photo challenge. We had many deserving entries, but the editors felt that this one best expressed the contest theme. Robin wins a $100 gift certificate from White Flower Farm.

We asked Robin (also known as robinlkh) to tell us a little about her garden:

"I garden just north of Boston in my 1/3 acre yard, and as a New Englander I always eagerly look forward to the first blooms of spring. I grow mostly low-maintenance perennials, and have many transplants from my father's Connecticut garden. I learned all I know about gardening from my father and from reading Fine Gardening magazine, and I am trying to pass on our love of gardening to my son."

Congratulations, Robin!
