Today's photo is from John Magee in Chantilly, Virginia. He says, "This was from our “Gnomefest 2006” party.  Enjoy!" Thanks, John, for sharing your friends with us! They look like they're having a good time. How do we get invited to Gnomefest 2011??

Welcome to the Fine Gardening GARDEN PHOTO OF THE DAY blog! Every weekday we post a new photo of a great garden, a spectacular plant, a stunning plant combination, or any number of other subjects. Think of it as your morning jolt of green.

Sign up to get new posts delivered to your inbox each morning so you'll always remember to take a look, or subscribe to our RSS feed. We look forward to sharing our garden travels with you.

READER PHOTOS: We love featuring your photos, too. If you think you have a photo that we should share on the Garden Photo of the day, email us. Send hi-res images if possible. We'll only respond if we plan to use your photo.

MrEuphorbia writes: The gnomes always enjoy "Gnomefest". (who wouldn't) I think I have some other pictures posted on my facebook page from this particular "Gnomefest". Enjoy- https://www.facebook.com/pages/John-Magee-Landscape-Design/108365592550420

And to Margdory, I believe we found these little fellows in Brussels Belgium. There's a big book of Gnomes we bought over there and someone based these guys off of that book. If I find more info, I'll try and post a link. Posted: 2:03 pm on April 1st
