...the fleeting details. I was walking around the lake at Innisfree Garden in Millbrook, New York, a couple of summers ago with a bunch of gardening pals when we just happened to catch this ephemeral sight. The light wasn't great for garden photos--too bright and sunny--but it was great for shadows!
Innisfree is one of my favorite public gardens to visit. It's stunning and incredibly peaceful. Check out this photo gallery on their website!

i love innisfree; what a huge and one-of-a-kind place of the chinese landscape school.so lucky to have had a generous donor of the property and a generous volunteer force to care for and manage it.a very magical environment there.very hard to describe. hope you'll show more shots of it, michelle. thnx much.
