First things first, Happy Thanksgiving!! Hope you're enjoying some turkey-time and family fun.

Speaking of fun, got a dead tree nagging you? An old broken bike hanging around the shed? A junk pile waiting for a trip to the dump? Marry one of those things with a can of brightly colored spray paint, and you've got a seriously eye-catching focal point for your garden! These fun examples can be credited to FG's new contributing editor, Jason Reeves, down at the University of Tennessee Gardens at the West Tennessee Research and Education Center in Jackson, Tennessee. We were traveling during the holidays and the landscaping at our hotel had red painted trees tucked here and there. They were unexpected fun in a very colorful kind of way!
