someone thought this might be in the mint family, but that is all we have to go on.  This plant is over 50 years old and the owner cuts it back to about 6 every year.

The owner of this plant purchased the seeds from a catalog over 50 years ago but can't remember what the name of this plant is.  Others are wanting to know so any help you can give us in identifying this plant would be greatly appreciated.
