What's this shrub?

I have no idea what this is.  It's evergreen:  keeps its leaves and snaps back even after it seems to have frozen solid.

Leaves are about 2 inches long, opposite, oval with a point & very small serrations, thin & glossy.

Location:  Denver suburb, zone 5, clay soil, moderate irrigation.

Thanks for any help!
