Perfect Edges for Your Beds and Borders
A humble focal point
comments (3) June 23rd, 2010 in blogs
You don't have to spend a lot of money or time creating a striking focal point in your garden. Designer Nancy Ondra leaves this yellow watering can on a post in her garden, where it's both convenient when she needs it and an eye-catcher when it's idle. It's a simple but effective ornament that does double duty.
To see more of Nancy Ondra's Pennsylvania garden, pick up the September/October issue of Fine Gardening, on newsstands in early August. In it, she'll show you how to make your garden spectacular in autumn.
Welcome to the Fine Gardening Garden Photo of the Day blog! Every weekday we post a new photo of a great garden, a spectacular plant, a stunning plant combination, or any number of other subjects. Think of it as your morning jolt of green.
Sign up to get new posts delivered to your inbox each morning so you'll always remember to take a look, or add us to your RSS feed. We look forward to sharing our garden travels with you.
If you think you have a photo that we should share on the Garden Photo of the day, email us. Send hi-res images to mgervais@taunton.com with GPOD in the subject line. We'll only respond if we plan to use your photo.

and relatively inexpensive article put to work this way. Also
I like the idea of these old "tools" of the past being taken
care of instead of being cast aside or allowed to deteriorate.
Good going Nancy....we can get along fine.
