A narrow side yard becomes a fascinating journey

When faced with a narrow passageway on the side of his house, Minneapolis/St. Paul garden designer Scott Endres didn't consider it just a way to get from the front to the back, he saw it as another gardening opportunity. Thoughtful hardscape selection, careful plant and focal point placement, and repetition of colors and forms combine to make this path a joy to traverse while transitioning from the public area in the front of the house to the private patio in the back. Tune in tomorrow for photos of this path's destination: Scott's amazing floating patio! **This garden was featured in the April 2008 issue of Fine Gardening.**
