Photo: Erica Glasener

Today's photo is from Erica Glasener in Atlanta, Georgia. She says: "This is Daphne odora ‘Aureomarginata Alba’ (USDA Hardiness Zones 7 to 9).  A mouthful but a great evergreen shrub in full bloom now at the Atlanta Botanical Garden here in Georgia.  Fragrant, fragrant, fragrant says it all. What could be better?" Thanks for sending in this great photo, Erica!

Welcome to the Fine Gardening Garden Photo of the Day blog! Every weekday we post a new photo of a great garden, a spectacular plant, a stunning plant combination, or any number of other subjects. Think of it as your morning jolt of green.

Berrie writes: Love this shrub, I have one right now in my yard, blooming, just as this picture shows. It is one of my favorite, wish I had more. It blooms before anything else and the scent is so lovely! I live in Marietta, Ga. Posted: 12:00 pm on March 16th
