Floating bird bath
comments (4) February 26th, 2010 in galleryI wanted to add yet another plant to this garden bed, but it was going to mean sacrificing the area used for a bird bath, which had become very popular. Instead, I chose to change over to a wire framed bird bath. I simply set the frame on bricks spaced around the middle of a mint plant early in the spring. Then I just let nature do its thing and the plant grew through it, which made the bath appear to float above the flowers. This had an added benefit that the cats now ignore the birds in the bath!
