Here's Another One I Need Help Identifying

I am probably getting on your nerves by now (asking for so much help), but I have a few that I just cannot find, and don't know where else to look.

This is supposed to be a type of Shrimp Plant, but it has yet to bloom (2 years now). I bought this at a local nursery, and they told me it was a Shrimp Plant, but they had no idea what TYPE of Shrimp Plant (that should have thrown up a red flag, but I wasn't paying attention). The leaves on this plant are fuzzy, like an African Violet leaf.

Anyway, the leaves, and the plant DO look like my other Shrimp Plants, but these (I have 6) do not bloom - ever!

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,

James DuHamel

Vivagirl5 writes: The plant is identified as J. procumbens, commonly known as Waterwillow. It is a different kind of Shrimp Plant.

You can read more here:

The picture of the plant is very similar to the one you have:

I hope this helps. I think the reason why it is not blooming is because it need to be in a much warmer place to bloom since it is from Central America and Southern part of Asia. Posted: 10:19 pm on April 15th

There are several good ideas there that are quite sound.
