I was a little hesitant about sending in a photo of Francie, but here it is. I have many more that are better than this, but I can't seem to make them small enough.  I taught Francie when she was a little pup, not to go into the flowers, and she never did. I'm an avid gardener and took this picture after dead-heading. She was always outside with me. Francie passed away very suddenly in May, 2009. She was truly my best friend and constant companion. Thank you for reading this.

PaulaFrechette writes: What a gorgeous shepard she was! I too have lost all but one of my cats, who
are terrific garden companions as well. There is always another animal out there who will love to lounge in gardens. Posted: 11:17 am on January 29th
PurpleIris writes: This is such a beautiful picture and a beautiful story, too. Sounds like you shared many special times with Francie. I, too, lost a constant companion, my cat Skip, suddenly, last spring. It was a great shock. His picture is still on my cell phone screen. I smile when I see it, and remember his character and spirit. Treasure the memories and the comfort knowing that Francie shared a wonderful life with you. Francie looks like the garden was where she belonged :-). Posted: 4:32 pm on January 25th
