What are these plants?
comments (3) January 20th, 2010 in gallery
I have two plants in my garden that I do not know what are. The first is this large leafed plant, they are beginning to emerge now in SW Wash. state We have lived here two years and I have not seen any flowers, they wilt in late afternoon direct heat/sun but are upright by morning. thought ligularia, maybe elephant ear but I cannot find any matches, They are approx 2.5ft tall and the leaves (one per stock) are probably 1.5 feet across if not more. The second is a yellow flower that blooms sun sun/shade for most of the summer, its also about 2.5-3.5 ft tall it does not seem to spread. Thanks for any help
