Wild deer browsing in my perennial garden.  I took the picture.
Frogs are natural pets in the lotus pond. This one is sitting on a surface lotus leaf.  I took the picture.
Day lilies attract butterflies for the nectar. This butterfly is almost hidden during the feasting. I took the picture with a telephoto lens.
Blue herons come to the lotus pond to search for their fish dinner.  There are carp in the pond to dine upon. I took the picture with a telephoto lens.
Lucy is my neighbors cat that likes to visit my garden. She is perched on a piece of wood in the garden.  I took the picture.

Many wild animals become pets to share my garden. Deer frequented the garden and ate many of my perennials before I fenced the garden.  My lotus pond is very large and contains over 500 plants that bloom in the summer.  The frogs and herons share the pond and its bounty.  My neighbor's cat keeps me company as I work in the garden.
