Schizachyrium scoparium 'Carousel' is a new ornamental grass from Garden Splendor. This little bluestem offers blue-green blades that form rounded, clumping grass in a kaleidoscope of colors including copper, pink, tan, and orange-red in fall.

pltbreeder writes: I appreciate your plug for Schizachyrium scoparium 'Carousel' but I would like to point out it is not a Garden Center(R) introduction, rather is a Chicagoland Grows(TM) plant introduction! This beautiful grass was developed from regional germplasm by Don Boehm at Boehm's Garden Center in Rushville, Illinois, and was introduced by the Chicagoland Grows (CLG) plant introduction program based in N. Illinois. If you could correct this in your recommendation, I would appreciate it. I am the manager of the CLG program. http://www.chicagolandgrows.org/grass/index.php Great list of plants you are recommending, otherwise. Thanks, Jim Ault Posted: 10:21 am on January 15th
