Autumn celebrations
November 3rd, 2009 in galleryAutumn in Ithaca, NY is gorgeous, especially with back-lit light on foliage, berries, and mushrooms. The lotus leaf fades quickly in volume when the days shorten and turns from a green leaf to one that is golden and brown.
Bittersweet berries caught in the sunlight burst with fullness.
Mushrooms growing along the Fall Creek Gorge of Cornell University show their detailed gills under the cap.
Viburnum berries are clustered in the sun from a bush in the Plantations of Cornell University.
Newfield, NY, is very rural, with many abandoned barns that celebrate the season with foliage galore.
