The Anna's overwinter in Puget Sound, Washington state.  I leave my feeder up even through the coldest days of winter.  This hummer visits me on his branch whenever I come to this part of the yard.  He squeaks in protest as if to say, "What are doing here?  This is my tree."

We don't have long cold winter in San Diego so they live here all year. Several days ago, my husband was helping me trim a tree. He was having a hard time trying to duck his head because they were flying constantly over him. I mentioned to him, that he needs to help more often so the hummingbirds get to know him.
