any idea what this berry plant is?
comments (3) October 24th, 2009 in galleryAs my garden was finishing up this season, this plant started cropping up and growing very fast.
It has a hardy green stalk that starts turning black as it gets more established. It has small white flowers that turn into green berries then turn black. Sorry my pictures aren't better.
I have never planted anything like this and I have already pulled out several of them. They did not want to come out, very well rooted.
Thanks for any help.

I would agree that it is most likely some type of nightshade! Careful - I think that it's poisonous!
