AutumnzLeavez writes: This is a deutzia. I know nothing about the origin, latin or varitital name. I have OLD HUGE shrubs in my yard/property. They are profuse cascading bloomers. They need annual pruning to keep them from hanging over everythingelse. However, you do tend to cut away the next years FLUSH of blooms. DO NOT hard prune. In the winter they get loaded with snow and almost lay on the ground. The oldest shrub is approx 20 ft tall in the center and cascades 6 to ft in all directions. It has a very sweet smell, in bloom. I have started them from cuttings on occasion. Pretty in Pale Pink! Posted: 5:41 pm on December 2nd

katie74 writes: deutzia 'magician'. Prune it for over all shape immediately after flowering next summer (otherwise you may prune out of cycle and get screwed out of the big floral display) Posted: 8:20 pm on October 11th
