BGGC writes: Crocosmia is the correct spelling. I fell in love with this flower on a recent trip to Ireland. It grows wild along the roadsides and they refer to it like our "Ditch Lilies" otherwise know as our Roadside Tiger Lillies. I am learning the challenges of growing this lovely bulb in zone 5.Although listed as hardy to Z-5 it needs winter mulch and so I am told does not often bloom until established in the second season.
