when we moved in - the lawn was dead, and there wasnt a flower in sight in the front yard (the back yard, either!)
the arbor got a little top heavy - but it was gorgeous, just the same! Ive always wanted an arbor!
I spend a lot of time on our front porch - its quite cozy, and it smells good, too!
Our back yard is our haven - our escape from the rest of the world.
The roses are in full bloom on my birthday every year - oh, how I look forward to my May roses!

About five years ago, my husband and I moved in to a house that had previously been used as a rental house. The yard was neglected, the roses were barely hanging on and were simply blooming out of habit! After hours & months of work (A labor of love, of course), we've transformed our yard!  We have a lot of work to do with the grass, but our house is now a home!
