Click to enlarge. Life in the garden is slowwww. Even a turtles ride scares gardeners patient angels.
1 hour to make. Threaded rod + bolts= 5$. Ceramic objects from flea markets combined vertically and skewered on a rod to tell a story. Creates good verticallity and whimsical totem stories for the garden. At its bottom,, this one begins with a ceramic tulip shaped candle holder, followed by a mexican vase, and a green turtle topped with a white angel covering her eyes. Holes for the rod to pass through are drilled through the ceramic items using a home drill and 4$ ceramic drill bit (found at all hardware stores). This takes just a minute to do. Lots of fun to mix and match the ceramic pieces to create a theme. FYI: Most ceramic items already have a hole on their bottom. Clear or opaque glass ceramic items can have white xmas lights inside for interesting garden lights at night. In the snowy North East, I bring mine inside and place it in a corner as a  sculpture + night light in winter. They last a very long time, even outdoors in winter. Make a base or put rod into pots, or soil.

This ceramic totem has white xmas lights that light up the inside of the large white base ( a thrift store lamp shade). A nice soft garden glow thats marks the path or patio door with style. A guaranteed eye-catcher.
