High-tech garden records

Taking notes on the progress of my various garden beds during the growing season is time-consuming, especially if I want to write enough to jar my late-winter memory. My solution to the problem comes from modern technology. I use a camcorder to keep a record of each plot in the garden. The audio feature allows me to add spoken comments as I go, noting my successes and failures and pointing out things I might do differently the next year. Placing a yardstick in the picture reminds me of the scale of things when I watch the tape later.
