Bug-repellent hat

My garden is filled with annoying gnats all summer. Rather than spray noxious repellents directly on my skin, I spray the underside of a wide-brimmed straw hat. The combination of the repellent and the brim makes my hat an effective deterrent; the bugs don’t like to fly under the brim.
