John and Deborah Holt, from the Northern suburbs of Pittsburgh, show us their young plants that mostly came from generous friends and perennial swaps.
"We live on Daisy Lane, so we planted lots of daisies and we have even tried (with mixed results) to have a wildflower meadow in the lower front yard, because we don’t want to mow several acres.

The waterfall and fish pond are tended to by John.  You can tell that we are trying to garden in the woods behind our home – with hostas and ferns.

The garden along the white split-rail fence is Deb’s domain, and still a work-in-process."
