In the genus Tithonia are 10 species of bushy annuals, perennials, and shrubs from Mexico and Central America that have bright orange or red daisylike flowers on thick stems. Plants in this genus attract butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds and are useful in a mixed or annual border or cutting garden.
