This reclaimed 24 ft. high boat dock piling anchors the front corner of my yard on Bird. Ave. in Buffalo NY. I found the piece while scrounging the lake Erie shoreline for driftwood 10 years ago.

The vines are 20 years old. The arbor was started about 7 years ago and stopped 2 years ago. The real work now is getting the 20 year old vines to bend to a new direction.

BLUE BOTTLE TREES ARE A VERY OLD TRADITION IN THE SOUTH. SINCE COBALT BOTTLES ARE BECOMING VERY RARE, THIS WAS A WONDERFUL PROJECT THAT JOINED FAMILY AND FRIENDS IN OUR SEARCH. WE LOVE IT!
