Climbing prairie rose

Rosa 'Setigura'

Information provided by Prairie Nursery

“Climbing prairie rose has fragrant deep pink flowers two inches in diameter with many yellow stamens at the center. The clusters of blooms arrive in early to mid-summer, and fade slowly to white. Birds relish the showy red rosehips that forms in autumn. This native rose is a shrub with a vine-like habit that allows it to work well as a “living fence” or border. The trailing branches can be trained up trellises or along fences. It tolerates a very wide range of soils and is a versatile garden addition.”
