I know I’ve featured this little area of Chanticleer Garden before, but I just visited it again (it’s in the ruins garden) last week, and yet again, I could barely tear myself away. It’s as about a perfect a spot as you could possibly find in a garden. Here are some of my favorite shots. More from the ruins garden tomorrow…

I absolutely love Chanticleer and the reflecting pool there is especially beautiful. I'd love to find a spot for a still reflecting pool somewhere here...

Chanticleer is one of those garden lover treasures that is beautiful and fascinating regardless of season. Because of
it's wonderful hardscapes, it is even a delight to visit
when much of its plant material is asleep.

Chanticleer is an astoundingly beautiful garden. The variation of the plants and flowers, the fantastic flow of the grounds and the artistry of the designers and craftsman who have built the hardscape are all wonderful. Its also the most enjoyable collection of container plants I have ever seen. If you ever have a chance, go there.
