I have too much stuff in plastic bags: fertilizer, grass seed, potting soil, and more. I found an easy way to seal these bags tightly and even make a handy spout. Pull a sturdy plastic jar with a snap-open top out of the recycling bin. Cut off the top quarter of the container, keeping the shoulders and lid. Take the lid off of the rim and feed the plastic bag through the bottom of the rim, folding the edges down over the threads. Screw the lid back on for a tight seal. Now your plastic bag has a handy open-and-pour spout.
