I fixed a swampy low spot by adding gravel and large stepping stones to create this Y-shaped path. The bench is a great spot to watch the golfers. The left hand fork leads to the tees, the right hand to the greens.
A large patio is raised with a dry stack stone wall to form a vista for nice views of the green and sand traps. The curved shapes of the beds are inspired by the sand traps shapes.

Photo: this garden won Fine Gardening Contest in 2006 so I thought I'd share the garden as it developed

Since it won the Inspired Gardens Design Contest in 2006, my garden is still growing. I've added a small path and bench to solve a water problem and now have a nice spot to watch the golfers.
